Rebranding.

Do you need to think about a rebrand?

22 September 2011

We regularly meet established businesses all with a similar problem. They have developed & grown as a business but often feel they have outgrown that first logo they had. Their brand has become inconsistent and their website & literature doesn't deliver the right message. It is an ideal time to get Glow Creative involved for a brand management exercise.

We can look at rebranding your company, implementing brand guidelines and defining a personality for your company with a consistent tone of voice across all of your marketing channels.

It may be that the business has expanded; the target audience has changed, or they started offering a new product or service. Or maybe they’ve decided it’s time to review their business’ philosophy and attitude, and the current message doesn’t quite communicate the company’s essence.

Whatever the reason is behind it, rebranding & freshening your marketing communications materials will help keep your business message relevant. Rebranding is not simply about designing a new logo – as we discussed before, a brand involves a lot more than a logo, and so is the case with rebranding. In some cases, rebranding will involve a new logo design, a change in tagline, or even a change in the brand name. It will likely involve changes and improvements in communication channels – for example, the website, direct mail, social media marketing and staff. Rebranding can involve developing a whole new brand identity, or simply improving the current one to keep it fresh and relevant. Rebranding is not just about how the business looks – it is about strategy – for longevity it requires planning, analysis and research. It is done for a reason, to achieve goals for in business, and to improve and enhance customers’ experience with a company. We want to help businesses achieve something meaningful & long lasting.

Businesses may decide to go through a rebranding process when there are changes in the companies’ activities, or when repositioning its products and services. There are also cases when the business spot necessary improvements and opts for a complete change in its philosophy and processes. In all of these cases, rebranding is the exercise that will guarantee that all touch points communicate to customers a consistent message about the “new you”.

Glow Creative has recently worked on rebranding projects for a number of local businesses - If you think your brand would benefit from a little TLC, please give us a call!
